Bio Nathalie [she/her/hers] is trilingual (English, Spanish, German). She is a nationally Certified Medical Interpreter, CMI, and has worked in the past as a DOJ-Accredited Representative at Maxwell Street Legal Clinic. She lives in Lexington with her two kids and volunteers as a medical interpreter with Surgery on Sunday. Currently, Nathalie is working as Program Manager for the KY AIDS Education and Training Center at the Bluegrass Care Clinic, Infectious Diseases Division. Nathalie also works shifts as medical Spanish interpreter at the University of Kentucky Chandlerā€™s Hospital and Emergency Department.

With extensive experience, I bridge medical expertise with cross-cultural communication to ensure patients receive accurate, respectful, and effective care. In addition to English, I support French, Haitian Creole, Swahili, Kinyarwanda / Kirundi, and Lingala. I am passionate about fostering understanding between healthcare providers and diverse communities while promoting health, safety, and inclusion in every setting.
