Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Kentucky Interpreter and Translator Association invite you to take part in our event “Becoming the Best at Getting Better.” This one-day conference will be held on April 27, 2019 at Cincinnati Children’s campus. The conference aims to raise awareness about the responsibility shared by all interpreters to continue their professional development by increasing their practical knowledge of the areas in which they provide services, while also elevating their technical ability to work as professionals in such areas.

Each interpreter, no matter their specialization, has an ethical responsibility to improve their skills. How we put this into practice, however, is less well defined. Let’s begin to change that. The overriding mission of this conference is to offer a local forum for interpreters to focus on developing themselves and the profession as a whole.  The conference is built around professional networking and workshop sessions that maximize audience participation. We seek to facilitate learning as an ongoing, dynamic and social process, and strive to offer engaging sessions in which diverse participants can form bonds, participate as learners and teachers, and feel integral to the learning process.

We hope to see you there!
